- The A2848 is exclusive to the United States and Puerto Rico. This model stands out as the only one capable of tapping into the 5G mmWave network, granting users unmatched capacity, superior throughput, and low latency to optimize the 5G experience. By removing a traditional SIM card slot, this version emphasizes Dual eSIM capabilities, accommodating two active eSIMs and store eight eSIMs or more.
- The A3101 caters to regions like Japan, Mexico, Canada, among other countries. This model continues to sport the physical nano-SIM card slot, facilitating dual SIM usage (encompassing both eSIM and nano-SIM card) alongside the dual eSIM feature. It’s worth noting that the Japanese variant produces a camera shutter noise, but this sound is turned off when the phone operates outside of Japan.
- The A3102 is the global edition, available extensively in regions like South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, the UK, and Australia. This model supports Dual SIM (nano‑SIM and eSIM) and also offers Dual eSIM capabilities. However, it’s important to highlight that when used in Korea, this variant still produces the camera shutter sound for photos taken within the country.
- The A3104 is designed specifically for the markets of mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. The mainland China variant commonly comes without FaceTime Audio and Wi-Fi calling functionalities, unlike its counterpart in Hong Kong. Although this model doesn’t feature eSIM support, it distinctively accommodates dual nano-SIM cards.

It's important to note that each iPhone's logic board and Face ID sensor are paired at the factory, so replacing the logic board will disable Face ID unless you also install a replacement front camera and sensor that has been properly paired to your new logic board. If you want to keep the Face ID function please select the board with cameras.
