It’s the only variant equipped to support the 5G mmWave network, offering users unparalleled capacity, exceptional throughput, and minimal latency to fully harness the capabilities of 5G. Instead of a physical SIM card slot, this model features Dual eSIM functionality, allowing for two active eSIMs and storage for eight or more eSIMs.
- The A3105 is the designated model for markets including Japan, Mexico, Canada, and several other nations. It retains the physical nano-SIM card slot, allowing for dual SIM functionality (both eSIM and nano-SIM card) in addition to dual eSIM capabilities. Notably, while the Japanese version of this iPhone emits a camera shutter sound, this feature is deactivated when the device is used abroad.
- The A3106 serves as the international variant, widely accessible across South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, the UK, and Australia. It accommodates Dual SIM (nano‑SIM and eSIM) as well as Dual eSIM features. Note, however, that in Korea, this model retains the camera shutter sound while capturing photos within the nation.
- The A3108 is tailored for mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Typically, the version for mainland China has FaceTime Audio and Wi-Fi calling features turned off, a restriction not present in the Hong Kong model. While this phone lacks eSIM capabilities, it uniquely supports dual nano-SIM cards.

It's important to note that each iPhone's logic board and Face ID sensor are paired at the factory, so replacing the logic board will disable Face ID unless you also install a replacement front camera and sensor that has been properly paired to your new logic board. If you want to keep the Face ID function please select the board with cameras.
